Mission Statement

JPRN (pronounced JAY-p e r n)

is a non-profit church outreach group committed to fostering our community's vocational well-being through the exchange of business contacts and ideas, in a spirit of generous giving, with the ultimate goal of supporting career fulfillment, business development, and professional and personal growth.  We realize that a 10% unemployment rate means that 10% of our members and 10% of our community may be in transition.  Finding a job or finding new employees is hard work.  We hope that this outreach program will serve not only those in Jarrettown United Methodist Church, but also people and companies in the local community.

OUR PURPOSE

is to support our JPRN members who are in career transition by providing meaningful networking contacts; sharing knowledge, best practices, and resources; and offering instruction on topics of interest for their professional and career development.

OUR OBJECTIVE

- to establish and grow an effective network among

 ----- people in career transition,

 ----- companies looking to hire,

 ----- people with expertise and contacts of use to people in transition,

 ----- and others interested in networking

- to facilitate and promote networking among these groups

OUR STRATEGIES

• to start with JUMC members and to expand to the community
• to involve local companies
• to involve people who are aware of employment opportunities
  
• and to facilitate networking with those who need help and those who can help
  

We will continually strive to connect JPRN members with employment needs to JPRN members who can help.

 To be registered with the JPRN - Jarrettown Professional Relationships Network please do the following:

• become a member of LinkedIn - www.linkedin.com
• Provide your profile as you want others to know you
• once you are in LinkedIn then request to join our JPRN LinkedIn Group
• once you are part of our JPRN LinkedIn Group you can receive:
  • email notification of discussion postings to the group
  • email notification of job postings to the group
  • access to other members in the group
